Εντυπωσιακή ανάπτυξη παρουσιάζει ο τομέας της βραχυχρόνιας μίσθωσης στην Ελλάδα, σύμφωνα με τον πρόεδρο του Πανελλαδικού Δικτύου Κτηματομεσιτών, Θεμιστοκλή Μπάκα. Ειδικότερα, μιλώντας στο ΕΡΤNews, ο κ. Μπάκας τόνισε ότι ήδη από τον φετινό Απρίλιο, ο αριθμός των διαθέσιμων κρεβατιών μέσω πλατφορμών τύπου Airbnb ξεπέρασε το 1 εκατομμύριο – επίπεδα που το 2024 είχαν καταγραφεί μόλις τον Ιούλιο. Η κατακόρυφα αυξημένη ζήτηση για τουριστικά καταλύματα τύπου Airbnb έγινε εμφανής από την άνοιξη, με περισσότερα από 200.000 καταλύματα καταγεγραμμένα τον Απρίλιο, δηλαδή 16.000 περισσότερα σε σύγκριση με το προηγούμενο έτος.  Όπως επεσήμανε ο κ. Μπάκας, «η αύξηση της ζήτησης συνοδεύτηκε και από υψηλότερες τιμές», ωστόσο εξήγησε ότι πολλοί ταξιδιώτες επιλέγουν αυτές τις κατοικίες για οικογενειακή άνεση και οικονομική ευελιξία.
